LTAP/TTAP
For over 25 years, 58 Centers that comprise the Federal Highway Administration's (FHWA) Local & Tribal Technical Assistance Programs (LTAP/TTAP) have provided information and training to local governments and agencies responsible for over three million miles of roads and over 300,000 bridges in the United States.
The mission of LTAP/TTAP is to foster a safe, efficient, and environmentally sound surface transportation system by improving skills and increasing knowledge of the transportation workforce and decision makers.
Under a contract awarded in 2006 by FHWA, the ARTBA Transportation Development Foundation operates the LTAP/TTAP Clearinghouse, which acts as a central source of information for LTAP/TTAP centers, local officials and other industry stakeholders. The Clearinghouse assists in providing materials, information, online resources and personal technical assistance.
