4-Day Safety Advancement Academy

This four-day academy includes the OSHA 502 Course which is required to renew an instructor’s OSHA 500 train-the-trainer accreditation. It also includes a day focused on new materials, data, and industry-specific information that will help instructors focus their training for roadway contractors and public officials. This roadway construction academy renews instructors’ qualifications to teach the OSHA 10- and 30-hour outreach classes. The program also includes visits with key federal officials in Washington, DC, responsible for many of the regulations involving roadway construction safety.
This course is taught in cooperation with the Center to Protect Workers Rights/National Resource Center for OSHA Training.
