Since ARTBA's beginning 105 years ago, the Research and Education Division has played a leading role in the formation of the nation's transportation policy. ARTBA's Research and Education Division provides an opportunity for academic and research professionals in transportation investment and construction disciplines to have an unparalleled impact on federal policies and programs.

Annual dues are $175 for individual members or $450 for institutional members (3 individuals + $150 for each additional individual). ARTBA also has an active student member/student chapter program. Membership is free to students (graduate and undergraduate) registered in transportation construction-related programs, such as civil engineering or construction management.
