ARTBA-Foundation Hosts Annual Young Executive Development Program
Nearly three dozen transportation design and construction industry “rising stars” came to the nation’s capital May 24-27 to participate in the American Road & Transportation Builders Association Transportation Development Foundation (ARTBA-TDF) Young Executive Development Program (YEDP). The intensive four-day program educates future association leaders about the impact the federal government has on the industry and the role that ARTBA plays in shaping transportation policy in Congress and the executive branch.
The YEDP included sessions on the federal legislative and regulatory issues as well as briefings on environmental and highway funding policies. Participants met with industry experts, attended advocacy briefings with their member of the U.S. House of Representatives, and met with legal, ethics, environmental and highway finance experts. The YEDP class also held a “Lessons from the C-Suite” forum with Terex Corporation Chairman Ron DeFeo who shared his thoughts about leadership and offered his keys to career success in the transportation construction industry.
