Become a P3 Scheduling Expert at March 3-5 ARTBA Academy

One of the most complex processes involved in building a transportation project is scheduling—lining up the myriad elements into a sequential process to maximize resources and minimize inefficiencies. That’s why the American Road & Transportation Builders Association (ARTBA) Transportation Builder Institute (TBI) is offering a P3 Scheduling Academy March 3-5, where contractors and project managers can master industry-standard Primavera Project Planner (P3) software in just three days. Industry executives who register by February 15 will save $400 off the regular course fee.

ARTBA’s P3 training is different from other industry offerings. Academy staff and instructors are world-class, led by Brigham Young University Professor Jay S. Newitt, who has taught construction scheduling in hundreds of seminars, programs and companies around the nation. Newitt is consistently rated as the best TBI instructor. He is also a contractor and author of “Construction Scheduling, Principles and Practices.” He will guide participants through the complex principles of Critical Path Method scheduling, demystifying the process and helping to maximize P3 software for managing successful projects.

“This program covers scheduling from beginning to end. Not only am I a better scheduler now, but the course made me a more efficient project manager,” said one P3 graduate.

The academy is not a generic demonstration session. Instead, it offers a three-day, intensive focus on using and mastering P3 technology.

Attendees will learn how to use schedules to manage and track construction projects—including materials, people, key operational benchmarks and payment schedules. And they will gain experience with P3, including creating and using a schedule from scratch and following it from job concept to completion.

Course tuition is $1,995 with an early registration of $1,599 by February 15. It will be held at ARTBA’s Washington, D.C., headquarters.
