Latest Trends 
As of August 13, 2007:
- The average gasoline price was down 6.7 cents from the previous week; the price of gasoline was 22.6 cents lower than the price a year ago.
- The average diesel fuel price was down 5.1 cents from the previous week; it was 21.8 cents lower than a year before.
- The crude oil price was down $1.03 last week; it was $2.34 per barrel less than a year before.

As of August 10, the nation’s stock of crude oil stood at 335.2 million barrels, a decrease of 5.2 million barrels from a week before, but 4.2 millions more than a year ago. The stock of gasoline was 201.9 million barrels, down 1.1 million barrels from a week before, and 3.5 million less than a year ago.
