Transportation-Related Legislative Coalitions

  • The Alliance for Energy and Economic Growth The Alliance for Energy and Economic Growth is a broad-based coalition of over 1,300 members that develop, deliver and consume energy from all sources. The Alliance represents consumers and community groups; energy companies involved in all phases of energy exploration, production, and transmission; agriculture groups; and business and labor organizations in every state — all united in support of a comprehensive national energy plan. The Alliance seeks to help build a national consensus for a comprehensive U.S. energy strategy that balances supply and demand without compromising environmental safeguards, so that we may fuel America’s economy and support our quality of life.
  • Alliance for Reasonable Regulations
  • Alliance for Truth In Transportation Budgeting Since early 1995, the ARTBA-initiated and led Alliance for Truth in Transportation Budgeting has worked to make more funds available for investment in transportation infrastructure by removing the four transportation trust funds from the unified federal budget.
  • Alliance to Keep Americans Working (AKWA) The AKWA works to preserve the right of employers to hire permanent replacement workers for economic strikers. Several other construction industry-related groups participate, including the Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC), the Associated General Contractors (AGC), and the American Portland Cement Alliance (APCA).
  • Americans for Transportation Mobility (ATM) This U.S. Chamber of Commerce-led national coalition is working to ensure our nation’s transportation infrastructure is improved to handle current and future demands. The coalition represents transportation users and providers who are working together for a safer and more efficient transportation infrastructure system. Americans for Transportation Mobility is working to promote investment in infrastructure and fighting to streamline the burdensome approval process that significantly delays and even prevents critical transportation safety improvements.

  • National Coalition on Ergonomics The National Coalition on Ergonomics is an alliance of associations and businesses representing large and small employers across the United States.
  • National Environmental Policy Institute Reinventing EPA Task Force
  • National Highway Research & Technology Partnership Forum The partnership forum was organized by TRB, AASHTO, and FHWA, and has included participation from hundreds of individuals representing scores of other organizations to date. The partnership seeks to develop a new framework for coordinating highway research and technology (R&T) activities among research sponsors, practitioners, researchers, and other stakeholders in highway transportation.

  • Transportation Construction Coalition (TCC) The Transportation Construction Coalition (TCC) is a group of 27 national associations and labor unions with a direct market interest in the federal transportation programs. The TCC was initiated in July 1996 to focus on the federal budget and surface transportation program reauthorization debates. TCC members can be found in virtually every congressional district and provide a vital service to their communities by helping to improve the efficiency and safety of our nation’s highway infrastructure.
