With approximately 25 percent of the nation's bridges rated as structurally deficient or functionally obsolete, bridge owners and state DOTs face significant challenges in addressing the full needs of their bridge programs. Bridge “Preservation” needs to be part of the conversation when addressing these important issues.
In this complimentary ARTBA webinar, Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) Bridge Preservation Engineer Anwar Ahmad, P.E. will provide an overview of the Administration's " Bridge Preservation Guide" including cost-effective strategies and the framework for a systematic approach to a preventive maintenance program. Anwar will also provide information on the Bridge Preservation Expert Task Group and Bridge Preservation Regional Partnerships.
Participants will receive an update from ARTBA Bridge Policy & Promotion Council Executive Director Allison Klein on the association’s Bridge Preservation Action Team.
