If so, the American Road & Transportation Builders Association Transportation Development Foundation (ARTBA-TDF) has just the program for you with the Road & Bridge Builder Project Management Academy, scheduled for January 22-26, 2007, in Washington, D.C.

This advanced course is designed for managers with three or more years of professional experience. It was created under the close supervision of representatives from the nation’s leading transportation construction firms, and provides both substantive theory and practical application of management principles for road and bridge building construction project managers.

Taught by leading industry experts, the Academy course material focuses on:

  • Safety culture
  • Business management
  • Team building
  • Principles of partnering
  • Advanced construction documentation
  • Advanced scheduling
  • Problem solving roundtables

The ARTBA-TDF was established in 1985 as a 501(c)3 tax-exempt entity to “promote research, education and public awareness.” It supports an array of initiatives, including educational scholarships, awards, executive education and professional development seminars, roadway work zone safety and training programs, special economic reports and a national exhibition on transportation.
