Washington, D.C. [April 06, 2007]—Are you looking for a quick and easy tool to use in helping recruit the “best and brightest” to a career in the transportation design and construction industry? Do you need a useful information source that highlights the competitive salaries, limitless career growth opportunities and cutting-edge technologies utilized by workers in the industry? If so, the American Road & Transportation Builders Association Transportation Development Foundation (ARTBA-TDF) has just the publication for you.

In today’s competitive job market, attracting young people to careers in transportation design and development is one of biggest challenges regularly identified by industry firms and agencies.

The ARTBA-TDF’s “Follow Your Path to Careers in Transportation Design & Construction” provides details about the positive social impacts, leadership opportunities, and significant long-term benefits that can come with a career in the industry. It also illustrates how highly competitive wages are compared to other industries. The brochure will come in handy during “career days,” job fairs or other recruiting events.

Copies of the brochures are available by contacting ARTBA’s Christy Woodall at 1-888-821-9653 or at cwoodall@artba.org, or can be purchased online at www.artbastore.org. The minimum order is 100 and they are available for $25.00.

ARTBA-TDF was established in 1985 to support research, education and public awareness of the transportation construction industry and to serve as a resource for young professionals, educators, and corporations supporting career development and education programs in the profession.
