[June 06, 2007]—If you are a transportation design and construction executive, traffic management, safety or parking professional, or a transportation public official, you won’t want to miss the three premier business development and networking opportunities of 2007 being offered by the American Road & Transportation Builders Association (ARTBA) this October in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. The association is pleased to announce the following events: ARTBA’s National Convention at the Hyatt Regency Pier 66: October 9-12 ARTBA’s “Critical Commerce Corridors” proposal and the future of the nation’s highway/transit programs will be the focus of the meeting. John Engler, former Michigan governor and current chief executive officer of the National Association of Manufacturers; and Pat Quinn, American Trucking Associations chairman and co-chairman of U.S. Xpress Enterprises, will discuss the transportation challenges facing the business community. National Traffic Management & Work Zone Safety Conference: October 9-12 Sponsored by the ARTBA Transportation Development Foundation-managed National Work Zone Safety Information Clearinghouse, and held in partnership with the Federal Highway Administration and American Association of State Highway & Transportation Officials, this national conference will connect public and private sector leaders for a discussion about the challenges, and cutting-edge solutions to improve the safe and efficient movement of traffic under many different roadway conditions. Intertraffic North America: October 10-12 The ARTBA convention and work zone conference are being held in conjunction with Intertraffic North America 2007. Organized by ARTBA and Amsterdam RAI and also located at the convention center, the show has been developed to help infrastructure, traffic management and safety, and parking service providers and manufacturers sell products and services in the robust and growing U.S. market; and to promote education within the transportation industry, which includes a full line-up covering all the latest trends in the marketplace.
