National Utility Contractors Association Endorses
Washington, D.C. [August 16, 2007]—The National Utility Contractors Association (NUCA) has endorsed Intertraffic North America 2007, to be held October 9-12 in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., the American Road and Transportation Builders Association (ARTBA) announced today. Intertraffic North America 2007, developed by ARTBA and Amsterdam RAI, is the continent’s most comprehensive conference and exposition uniting suppliers, customers and experts from the transportation infrastructure, traffic management and safety, and parking industries. It is being held at the Greater Fort Lauderdale-Broward County Convention Center. NUCA is lending its support to help ARTBA promote the INA show with its members, and allowing its logo to be used in all Intertraffic marketing, web and promotional materials. In return, ARTBA will provide NUCA with free advertising in the event program, exhibit booth space, a link on the show website, credit on all marketing materials, and other accommodations to benefit the organization’s activities. NUCA is a national association with 2,200 members and an extensive network of 43 chapters that represent the interests of underground utility contractors throughout the United States. The association provides information, networking and business opportunities for all utility construction professionals; provides a forum for continuing education; and promotes effective public policy, through its grassroots network, to protect and enhance opportunities for utility contractors. Established in 1902, ARTBA represents the public and private sectors of the U.S. transportation construction industry before Congress, the White House, federal regulatory agencies, news media and the general public.
