Washington, D.C. [Feb. 22, 2008]Allison Wenograd has been named American Road & Transportation Builders Association (ARTBA) staff attorney and managing director of the association's Materials & Services Division.

She is responsible for membership and grassroots development, fundraising, member services and representing the association at industry events. Wenograd also serves as staff liaison to the ARTBA Southern Leadership Team.

Most recently, Wenograd was an attorney and contracts analyst at Watsonville, California-based Granite Construction—one of the nation's largest transportation contractors. She was responsible for negotiating and analyzing private construction contracts, and worked on a variety of legal projects for the firm.

Previously, Wenograd served as an organizer for a land development campaign in the San Francisco Bay Area where she was responsible for mobilizing grassroots, canvassing and organizing events. She spent two semesters as an intern at the White House, serving in the vice president's scheduling and advance office.

Wenograd, a native of the San Francisco Bay Area, received her B.A. in history from the University of California, Santa Barbara in 2001 and her law degree with distinction from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law in 2004. She is a member of the California State Bar.
