“Elected Officials need to ‘Think Big’ to get things done on infrastructure,” ARTBA senior vice president and managing director of the Contractors and P3 divisions, Rich Juliano, told labor radio program “The Rick Smith Show” March 1. The show, which covers state and local politics and national issues, hosts a weekly transportation segment from its broadcast at the Pennsylvania AFL-CIO headquarters in Harrisburg.

Juliano, as the featured guest, discussed the recently enacted FAST Act, the need to find a permanent solution for the Highway Trust Fund, and the new ARTBA national bridge conditions report.

He also used the appearance to promote the upcoming ARTBA Foundation Project Management Academy being held March 29-30 at the Manhattan headquarters of the General Contractors Association of New York.  The two-day, interactive learning event, which is aimed at transportation contractors in the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast, will feature leading industry experts and attorneys will cover: Construction Documentation, Management & Leadership in the Workplace, Ethics, Client Relations, Construction Contract Clauses from Hell, and the Economics of Safety.  Industry professionals can register in the “Transportation Builder Institute” section of www.artbatdf.org.
