Former Reuters Reporter Eileen Houlihan Joins ARTBA as Senior Writer & Editor

The American Road & Transportation Builders Association (ARTBA) announced today the hiring of Eileen M. Houlihan as senior writer/editor.

Houlihan brings with her nearly 20 years of experience from the Reuters news agency in New York, where she covered the North American natural gas market, electricity market and various commodity markets during her tenure with the company. She was responsible for covering breaking news and writing daily market reports, and has broad knowledge of global business and media issues.

At ARTBA, she will be responsible for: writing economic research reports and analyses of transportation construction market trends; crafting news releases; and providing content for the association’s “Washington Newsline,” websites, social media platforms, and “Transportation Builder” magazine.

While at Reuters, she served as executive board member of the Newspaper Guild of New York.

Houlihan, a native of Binghamton, N.Y., is a graduate of Long Island University’s Southampton campus where she majored in communications.

An avid sports fan, she remains a life-long New York Giants supporter despite her current residency in Washington, D.C.
