Newly Designed ARTBA Website Highlights Core Competencies

News

(WASHINGTON)— For 115 years, the American Road & Transportation Builders Association (ARTBA) has exclusively focused on building and protecting the U.S. transportation construction market on behalf of its nearly 8,000 public and private sector members.  The association is a trusted, non-partisan information source for transportation infrastructure investment and policy issues, construction safety and economics.

ARTBA’s mission and core competencies are “front and center” in a newly designed website (www.artba.org) that has a contemporary look and was built with a content strategy emphasizing mobile first.

“With the percentage of American adults owning a smartphone at nearly 80 percent, it is more important than ever to continually provide content that can adapt and respond to mobile devices,” ARTBA’s Vice President of Information Technology Mike Sakata said.  “That number has grown exponentially over the past several years and ARTBA’s new website keeps its members and other users ahead of the curve in terms of content delivery and digital advocacy.”

Key core competencies on the site’s homepage include:

  • Legislative, Regulatory & Legal Advocacy: Highlights ARTBA’s government relations programs, and advocacy actions to defend the transportation construction industry’s market interests when threatened by dubious regulatory overreach or litigation filed by anti-growth organizations.
  • Transportation Construction Safety Center: The brand new Center, operated under the ARTBA Foundation umbrella, is the gateway to a comprehensive and valuable suite of services designed to help improve worker and motorist safety in roadway construction zones.  It includes the groundbreaking Safety Certification for Transportation Project ProfessionalsTM.

  • Economics & Market Analysis: Features cutting-edge reports that analyze all aspects of the transportation design and construction market, and spotlights the association’s capabilities to produce customized studies about the economic impacts of transportation investment on state programs.
  • Transportation Investment Advocacy Center: Now established as the “go to” resource, the Center helps private citizens, legislators, organizations and businesses successfully grow transportation investment at the state and local levels through the legislative and ballot initiative processes.
  • Transportation FAQs: Who builds and maintains roads and bridges in the U.S.?  How is transportation infrastructure paid for in the U.S.?  What jobs are available in the U.S. transportation construction industry?  Those and many more questions are answered in one of the site’s most heavily used sections.

Additional sections include opportunities for engagement and leadership development with members and prospective members, listings of upcoming meetings and webinars, recent news releases, and information about ARTBA Foundation programs.

The Washington, D.C.-based ARTBA represents the U.S. transportation design and construction industry before Congress, the White House, federal agencies, news media and the general public.
