What’s happening: ARTBA March 1 launched a new Environmental Committee chaired by industry leaders John Gasparo, director, Security Paving, and Fred Wagner, principal environmental regulatory advisor, Jacobs.

Their mission: Facilitate member collaboration on pressing issues and foster a lasting culture of environmental stewardship within the association. Specifically, the group will:

  • Increase awareness of environmental issues affecting the transportation construction industry;
  • Share best practices and innovative strategies for environmental stewardship;
  • Offer educational opportunities and help members stay on top of the latest policy developments; and
  • Facilitate briefings with federal agencies to support industry engagement on key issues.

What’s next: The committee meets quarterly and is open to all members. Contact ARTBA’s Prianka Sharma to learn more.
