Why it matters: Current funding runs out Nov. 17, and Congress must agree on new spending legislation by then or pass another continuing resolution (CR). A CR is widely expected and would maintain FY 2023 funding levels for IIJA programs.
What comes next: The House plans to resume consideration of its FY 2024 transportation spending bill next week, though specific timing is unclear due to objections over cuts in public transportation.
