What happened: In a party-line vote, the House Appropriations Committee July 10 advanced its Fiscal Year (FY) 2025 transportation spending legislation to the House floor.

The bill would fully fund Highway Trust Fund-supported highway and public transportation programs, but proposes cuts to Capital Investment Grants and certain discretionary grant programs. Read more.
