Update: FY 2025 Transportation Spending Bill Advances to House Floor

What happened: In a party-line vote, the House Appropriations Committee July 10 advanced its Fiscal Year (FY) 2025 transportation spending legislation to the House floor.

The bill would fully fund Highway Trust Fund-supported highway and public transportation programs, but proposes cuts to Capital Investment Grants and certain discretionary grant programs. Read more.

What’s next: Timing for House floor consideration is unclear.  The Senate is expected to mark-up its version later in July.
