What’s happening: Innovative work zone safety and management practices take center stage at the virtual 2022 National Work Zone Management Conference Oct. 12-13.

Why it matters: In partnership with the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA), the ARTBA Foundation-managed National Work Zone Safety Information Clearinghouse produces this two-day conference free of charge.

Transportation construction project professionals will connect with colleagues and hear over 30 presenters share the latest practices and pioneering projects. Participants include state departments of transportation, industry contractors, manufacturers, insurance companies, engineering firms, emergency response organizations, and state, local and federal government representatives.

Twelve panels will be presented. Topics will include innovative work zone practices and management planning; vehicle control issues; how to better protect roadside construction workers; total worker health focusing on mental resiliency; and disaster response planning. View the full agenda.
