Dear Members of Congress:

The American Road & Transportation Builders Association (ARTBA) commends members of the House and Senate Appropriations Committee for advancing an FY 2025 appropriations package that would continue federal leadership in the creation of a transportation network that promotes economic growth and enhances the quality of life for all Americans.

The highway, bridge, and core public transportation funding levels contained in H.R. 1968, The Full-Year Continuing Appropriations and Extensions Act, 2025, would adhere to the commitments made in the 2021 five-year reauthorization of the surface transportation programs. Furthermore, the measure includes additional resources targeted at other unmet mobility needs. The combined effect of H.R. 1968’s infrastructure investments would allow states and local governments to move forward with transportation projects to improve the safe and efficient movement of people and goods throughout the nation.

Ensuring the nation’s intermodal transportation system keeps up with ever growing demands is a long-term endeavor, and we commend leaders of the House and Senate for working to provide the continuity and resources necessary to help achieve that goal. We urge all members of the House and Senate to support H.R. 1968.

Sincerely,
Dave Bauer
President & C.E.O
