ARTBA joined construction industry partners  in requesting that the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency extend the public comment period for the proposed 2027 NPDES Construction General Permit by at least 15 days. The organizations said additional time would allow for more meaningful industry feedback on potential permit revisions and opportunities to improve permitting efficiency. The agency proposed the rule on Aug. 3 with a 30-day comment period ending on Sept. 2.
