Coalition Comments Supporting Reissuance of Nationwide Permits

ARTBA joined a broad industry coalition urging the US Army Corps of Engineers to promptly reissue Nationwide Permits (NWPs) to avoid regulatory gaps and keep critical infrastructure projects on schedule. The coalition recommended a two-step approach: first, reauthorize the existing NWPs to maintain continuity; then, pursue broader improvements through a future rulemaking process. The coalition also called for faster permit processes, clearer guidance, and modernized thresholds to reflect current construction practices.
