Comments to Dept. of Education on Pell Grants

ARTBA submitted comments to the U.S. Department of Education supporting the proposed expansion of Pell Grant eligibility to short-term workforce training programs. The comments highlighted the importance of this reform in helping individuals pursuing careers in transportation construction access affordable training and enter the workforce. ARTBA also recommended greater flexibility in program delivery, particularly by revisiting the proposed cap on participation by non-eligible training providers, to better align with existing apprenticeship and industry-led training models.
