ARTBA joined a coalition of construction industry organizations in submitting comments to the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) ahead of the Advisory Committee on Construction Safety and Health (ACCSH) meeting, where the Committee is expected to discuss several rulemakings that no longer have active public comment periods. The coalition recommended that OSHA maintain transparency by publishing ACCSH’s recommendations and providing an opportunity for public input before taking action. The submission also reiterated prior industry comments on key proposals, including construction illumination, respiratory protection requirements, and interpretation of the General Duty Clause, emphasizing the importance of clear, practical, and consistent standards.
