On August 30, 2024, the US Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) published a proposed rule establishing heat safety standards for employees in both indoor and outdoor settings. The rule follows a lengthy process in which OSHA solicited initial feedback through an Advance Notice of Proposed Rulemaking and conducted a Small Business Advocacy Review panel.

Comments on the rule are due by December 30, 2024.
